The life and times of Jakob Spencer Romero

Jakob is having a blast being a big brother, whether that means bossing Avery around or finding all the dangers around him to protect his baby brother. Jakob is also loving the snow, I say this because last year he refused, absolutely refused to set one foot in the snow, and now he is stomping around and building snowmen with joy!

The life and times of Avery Samuel Romero

I can hardly believe how quickly the time has passed, only 8 months ago I was taking little Avers home from the hospital, now he is chasing Jakob around and getting into all sorts of trouble, all the while being incredibly adorable.

Family Fun Times

While my sisters Jennifer and Karen and their families are in town we are having a little family reunion of our own. We visited the Oquirrh temple for the open house which was a neat experience and very interesting with six kids.

Avery's Blessing

We had Avery's blessing on July 19th, and he was pretty good for the most part. We enjoyed a family get together afterwards at my folks house, and the kids were able to spend some time with their cousins from out of state which they don't see very often.

Fun Times

Avery absolutely loves his bedtime baths, he will smile for the whole thing and allow me to style his hair afterwards, here are some examples of his crazy hair.

Some good times are had by all just hanging out in Avery's crib. Jakob is a big fan of "playing" with his baby brother, and will freely pile toys all over him if allowed.

Happy Birthday America!

Well another Independence day has passed, and this year we chose to celebrate the American way. We attended the local parade, Jeremy and I were the only ones who truly participated. Jakob withdrew himself to the comforts of the stroller, and Avery, well he was better than I expected. Next we had a splendid barbeque at the parents house, and then ventured out to a little carnival. Later we watched the fireworks from Grandma's. It was a very long and wonderful summer day.

I cannot believe that June is over! Seriously where did the days go? With Jakob turning two and little Avery turning three months old I think the days went to me straight up surviving. I am happy to say that I am getting a little more sleep now, and learning how to handle Jakob's tantrums. I am still getting the hang of this whole "blog" thing so, thanks for bearing with me!
